TH blanket club - Pack 2 (part 2)

Well, that didn't take me long! I really have no self control whatsoever! But I really can't describe just how soft this yarn is. I usually work with acrylic yarn which, although is hard wearing and washable (great if you have kids or animals), it can be very rough on the hands. This yarn is an absolute dream to work with and once I start I just can't stop!!

I continued with the Red Heart Sunny Spread pattern and again managed to get two circle squares out of each colour. If I continue at this rate, the blanket will be 12 by 9 squares large, although I haven't actually measured the squares, so I don't know what that will be in real money. But with a plain border around the edge, I am sure it will be large enough for a sofa or a (British) single bed.

I have also decided what pattern to use for the scraps. I found this image online, and so I am going to use a similar pattern using the scraps and have a matching lap blanket. I am not sure how many squares I will be able to get completed out of the scraps - It will need to be a fair few to make any kind of a lap blanket, but if I use mostly the plain yarn it should work out ok. There is very little of the coloured yarn actually required.

Now I can't wait for pack three!!! Hurry up Mr Postie!

I absolutely am loving these colours, and I can't wait to see how they work up. So naturally, I am dropping everything like a hot potato and picking up this WIP. Pictures to follow!
